We decided to visit Tuckahoe S.P. for a fall camping trip with our family. It was our first time visiting the park. We stayed in the electric loop. The sites have a very nice secluded feel and they are spaced out nicely. Listening to barred owls call in the woods at night was a real treat. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for future visits. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest. I'd say they were average for a state park. I've seen some better and plenty worse. I loved the size of the park and all the options for exploring and recreation. The kids loved it!

Great place to escape the hustle and bustle of 404. Quiet, not typically crowded. Miles and miles of trails for biking, running, hiking, birding, and exploring. Plenty of waterways for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.

Our favorite state park. Electric loop has well spaced sites. The kids love the tire park and hike there.

There are also hiking trails throughout the park that are great to explore.

We picked this park to go on our road trip with our dog since the boat rental allows dogs. We came here on a weekday and had a moment of confusion as to where/how to rent the boat. Finally, we figure out that we had to go to the park management office (about a two minute drive away from the lake) to do the rental on weekdays. It was actually a really easy process and we were soon back at the lake and launching our boat. It's a rather small lake but with lots of wildlife. So it was definitely great for a leisurely row with our dog. Hopefully, he enjoyed it as much as we did!

Nice place to enjoy some time away from the normal hustle and bustle. We particularly enjoy the kayak trail that winds upstream from the dam. Once you paddle approx 1mile upstream, the rest of your journey will be shaded by tree canopy...really awesome.
